Summary: The RN works on a designated nursing unit and assures smooth operations of the unit for a designated shift. Scope of work may be modified by State specific rules. Education: Graduate of accredited RN School of Nursing Licenses/Certification : Current RN Licensure in the State employed Valid CPR verification Experience: At least one (1) years of nursing experience preferred Evidence of continuing education or special preparation or experience in gerontological nursing and/or long-term care nursing desirable. Essential Functions: Assesses, plans, coordinates and evaluates residents’ care along with members of the interdisciplinary team. Documents the resident’s condition and nursing needs accurately and in a timely manner. Reports pertinent observations and reactions regarding residents promptly to Supervisor and Physician as necessary. Receives and records physicians’ orders. Communicates staffing problems and needs to the Nurse Manager. Provides input on staffing ratios and deployment. Provides oncoming shift and supervisors with accurate and complete resident status report. Maintains the 24-hour report book. Supervises, directs and evaluates staff (i.e., RNs, LPN/LVNs, Medicate Aides/Medication Techs, Nurses Aides, etc.) as directed. Participates in counseling, disciplinary action and termination of staff to the extent permitted by state practice act. Licensed Nursing Assistant- Part Time

$2,500 SIGN ON-BONUS!!! Birchwood Terrace is hiring! Summary: Under supervision, provides basic nursing assistance and assists residents with daily living activities. Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Licenses/Certification: Valid certification as an LNA in the state of employment. Experience: Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred. Essential Functions: Answer signal lights and bells to determine resident needs. Assists residents with grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, hair, and incontinence care. Obtains food trays and assists residents with feeding. Assists residents with range of motion exercise, and movement to wheelchair or activity areas. Assists resident with turning and positioning in bed. Assists resident with ambulation for short distance in facility. Performs other tasks as assigned. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergency situations. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Positions Available: Full Time Part Time Qualifications: Certified Nursing Assistant in good standing with the state. High school diploma or equivalent. Must have no disciplinary action in effect against certification. At least one year of experience as a certified nursing assistant in long-term care. Major Duties and Responsibilities: Provides supportive services to nurse(s) and other staff as needed and performs duties as assigned. Assists resident with or performs activities of daily living for resident in accordance with care plans and established policies and procedures. Assists resident with lifting, turning, moving, positioning, and transporting into and out of beds, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs, lifts, etc. Coordinates dining room services at assigned mealtimes, including set-up and clean-up, meal tray delivery, feeding assistance, and documentation of meal intake. Delivers nutritional supplements to residents at assigned times and provides assistance as necessary to ensure intake. Documents intake accordingly. CNA Instructor

Position: Part Time The Certified Nursing Assistant Instructor/Coordinator teaches students how to perform basic patient care services directed at the safety, comfort, personal hygiene, and protection of patients through a combination of classroom lecture, and the coordination of hands-on clinical experience in a local long-term care facility.
