Essential Functions of the RN Supervisor are, but are not limited to: Promotes regulatory compliance through demonstrating working knowledge of long term care regulations and participating in efforts towards consistent survey readiness and assisting with completing plan of correction. Assists the nursing team in providing resident care when professional nursing skills/judgment is needed. Continually supervises and evaluates resident care throughout the shift Ensures any staffing changes are in alignment with budgeted staffing plan. Address any staffing concerns as they arise Identify learning needs of staff and participate in educational opportunities in collaboration with the Staff Development Coordinator and nursing leaders. Provide mentoring and coaching to staff when needed. Round on each nursing unit and respond to issues as needed/requested. Demonstrate effective communication skills and positive service excellence behaviors when dealing with all customers. Responsible for interacting directly with residents’ families to answer their questions and ease their concerns. Ensures and/or assists with transcribing all doctor orders timely and accurately. Oversees and/or assists with administering IVs and other medications. Assists with or complete admissions/discharging of the residents. Ensure safety of residents, customers and facility through awareness of and conscientious application of policies and procedures and emergency responses. We are seeking an experienced RN Nursing Supervisor, responsible for the supervision of the healthcare staff on the 11-7 shift. Job Duties: Provides oversight for the provision of care. Serves as a resources to the direct care staff. Coordinates onsite responses to incidents, errors and sentinel events. Provides support to the DON and Unit Managers with staffing, staff education, and other activities as assigned. Provides direct patient care when necessary and/or assigned. Qualifications: Must have an active RN license in the state of DE. Preferably 3 years experience in long term care as a supervisor. This is a Monday thru Friday position, no weekends.
