The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care to patients within a assigned unit with a commitment to quality and safety. Professional nursing practices, requiring specialized knowledge judgment and skill are performed using the process in accordance with hospital policy, procedures and nursing philosophy. Responsibilities: Provide direct, professional nursing care to specified population of patients in the acute care setting. Develops a patient centered plan of care based on individualized needs. Maintains confidentiality of the patient medical record. Counsel and educate patients and their care partner on treatment plans. Administer medication following the five rights of medication administration. Provide wound care and dressing changes, as applicable. Evaluate and process remote reports for cardiac rhythm implantable devices per industry guidelines, including assessing and triaging urgent issues found on remote reports. In-office site evaluation, interrogation and testing of cardiac rhythm implantable devices, and patient education after cardiac rhythm implant device procedures. Signing MRI guideline orders for cardiac rhythm implantable device patients. Providing written guidance for surgeries and procedures for cardiac rhythm implantable device patients. Answering clinical questions about cardiac rhythm implantable devices from patients and other providers. Upholds the professional code of ethics. Keeps all licenses/certifications up to date (including ACLS and PALS, if applicable). All other duties as assigned within the scope and range of job responsibilities.
