We have many pediatric patients who are receiving medical care primarily, while also presenting with co-occurring mental health needs that may require additional consideration and planning. Our Behavioral Health nurses respond to support requests, bringing their expertise so that we can be sure to provide the best and safest care for all of our patients and families. Functions with demonstrated expertise in patient care for mental and behavioral health. The nurse provides direct clinical care and support within the behavioral health realm. As a recognized resource for consultation to the bedside staff, the nurse assists assessment, clinical management, communication, crisis prevention, regulatory readiness, and evidence-based care practice. Proactively supports efforts that ensure delivery of safe patient care and services and promotes a safe environment. Registered Nurse, RN license issued by the state of Wisconsin Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred, but Associates degree in Nursing considered.
