A caregiver in this position works nights shifts from 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m. with every other weekend and holiday requirements. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Provide direct nursing care. Remain flexible working between all phases of rehabilitation, cardiopulmonary procedures and as indicated in the Heart Center. Attend continuing education programs to facilitate professional growth. Support and participate in community wellness programs. Serve as a preceptor for university students in nursing, health and exercise physiology. Promote and assist in marketing strategies for the promotion of outpatient cardiopulmonary rehabilitation programs. Maintain patient records and statistics.
