Your Role as a Registered Nurse (RN): As a vital member of our health care team, you’ll provide top-notch patient care within your assigned department or unit. AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required within 6 months of hire if working with OB or surgical patients. STABLE certification required within 6 months of hire. Advanced Fetal Monitoring Course required within 6 months after labor training. Scrub training (or ability to scrub) required within 6 months of hire (specific to Legacy Good Samaritan). Responsibilities The Critical Response Nurse (CRN) is an advanced clinical expert who can deliver composed guidance and care under emergent circumstances. The CRN assesses, analyzes, plans, implements, and evaluates patients in crisis following established patient care standards for Legacy Health System throughout the hospital. The CRN acts as a physician liaison by relaying expert physical assessments and provides delegated treatments as needed within both the inpatient and emergency department arenas including emergent transfer to a higher level of care. Qualifications What We’re Looking For: Education: Graduation from an accredited nursing program as required by licensure. BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) is strongly preferred. We also consider RNs without a BSN based on clinical experience and with approval from the Chief Nursing Officer. Experience: At least one year of nursing experience, or completion of the Legacy Health RN Residency program (or equivalent program). Thorough knowledge of care and skill in placement of peripheral IV catheters; thorough knowledge of care of central IV access devices and PICC competency as determined by Nurse Manager or designee. Skills & Qualities: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to connect effectively with patients, families, and colleagues. Ability to navigate and utilize electronic health systems.
