The Opportunity The Certified Caregiver - Medication Aide position provides support for our community’s residents with the essential day-to-day tasks they can no longer perform or need help with. Certified Caregivers are responsible for administering daily medications. Duties include monitoring residents, reporting changes, and collecting samples. The ideal Certified Caregiver will be detail oriented, possess knowledge of resident care procedures and have excellent communication skills. What You’ll Do Deliver routine daily medications, either prescription or non-prescription, to residents Record medication dosages and times Observe residents and document changes in their condition Gather samples for analysis Ensure equipment is routinely inspected and cleaned Uphold all health and safety standards Follows federal, state, and agency regulations to protect own health and that of others Coordinate with different nurses to assist with resident care and medications Follow written or verbal instructions on how to manage medications Respond to resident emergency call signals, bells, or intercom systems to identify residents needs Protects confidential client information unless otherwise required to promote client safety and welfare Seeks guidance from the nurse as needed to perform tasks safely and efficient Responsibilities include customer service, administering medication, caregiving, resident safety and communication What You’ll Bring POSITION REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS: Successful completion of a state approved Medication Aide course and is approved to assist with or administer oral and external medications, per state regulations Must demonstrate competency to perform medication administration in accordance with state regulations High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, although mandatory in certain states Applicants must be a minimum of 18 years old, or the age required by state regulations, whichever is higher Working experience alone, on a team, and on projects start to finish Strong emotional intelligence and listening skills Dedication to the medical field, especially towards working with the residents Must pass State and company background checks and drug test Take Vital signs Assisting resident with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) Medication supervision (within the scope of the state regulations) Read, write, speak and understand the English language

The QMAP administers resident medication or assist residents with self-administration of medication and coordinate treatments to residents. Provide assistance with activities of daily living while encouraging independence and ensuring each resident’s physical, social, cultural, and intellectual well-being. SHIFTS : Full time NOC 10p-6a Tues-Sat PAY: $20.00-22.00hr What will I do every day? Observe residents for any changes in condition and report to Care Services Director, Resident Care Coordinator (RCC)/Dementia Care Coordinator (DCC), or appropriate physician Assist residents with simple requests as needed or find an appropriate associate to assist Learn resident preferences for opportunities to provide exemplary customer service, exceed resident expectations and enhance resident satisfaction Document and report changes of condition and use company forms for resident care documentation Provide medication set up and assistance Log in medications from pharmacies, verify physician’s orders and communicate any concerns immediately Track all medications and re-order as needed Perform the following tasks with residents: track vital signs, weight, diabetic testing and/or insulin injection (if state allowed), ambulation, and general activities Follow all regulatory and company policies regarding the destruction of medications as identified by the physician, pharmacy, or Care Services Director Assist in documenting and removing medications that are discontinued by the resident’s physician Familiar with the meaning and usage of common medical abbreviations, symbols, and terms relative to the administration of medications Support, lead and participate in resident-centered wellness programs Work toward maintaining each resident’s self-respect, personal dignity, and personal safety Assist resident assistants as needed and whenever primary tasks are completed Track supplies that are needed and communicate to Care Services Director or RCC/DCC Work as part of the team within your department and across the community Support open and honest communication with and between all associates Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working Look for ways to reduce costs and create efficiencies on a daily basis Ensure regulatory compliance and report any issues or concerns immediately Support continuous improvement Adhere to all regulations, laws and Kisco standards, including the Associate Handbook Understand and support the community sales process Perform other related duties as required What will I need to be successful in this role?
