Responsibilities •Complete and scan required record keeping forms/charts upon the guest’s admission, transfer, and/or discharge.•Chart nurses’ notes in an informative and descriptive manner that reflects the care provided to the guest, as well as the guest’s response to the care.•Report all discrepancies noted concerning physician’s orders, diet change, charting error, etc., to the Director of Nursing.•Ensure that appropriate documentation concerning unauthorized discharges is entered in the guest’s medical record in accordance with established procedures. Qualifications •Current, unencumbered LPN/LVN license required or Compact State license- required.•A minimum of 2 years LPN/LVN experience required.•Able to educate patients and family on multiple disease processes and have good medication knowledge and wound care experience. Implements treatment programs directed by Health Care Practitioners, administering medications, including IV therapy (if certified), and performing diagnostic tests according to established protocols and procedures. Collaborates in controlled substance counts at the beginning of each shift, adhering to safety techniques, procedures, and standard precautions while responding to codes or health emergencies within standard guidelines. Assists in medical or minor surgical procedures, implements nutrition and therapeutic diet plans, and documents nursing encounters using SOAP charting, ensuring effective communication with nursing staff, physicians, and other relevant personnel. Attends mandatory staff meetings and training sessions, demonstrating a commitment to continuous professional development and adherence to policies and procedures in providing high-quality patient care.
