What You’ll Do Under the direction of a professional RN, participates in the systematic and continual assessment of the physical, emotional, clinical, and psychosocial needs of assigned patients and families; the planning and implementation of appropriate interventions; and the evaluation of effectiveness and adjustment of a plan as indicated in a timely manner in the provision of safe and effective care. Requirements IV certification. Current Missouri Practical Nurse license or current Practical Nurse license from a compact state. If a compact license is held, it must be in the nurse's state of residence. If no experience as an RN or LPN in a hospital setting or it has been more than 5 years since last worked in a hospital setting, nurses must successfully pass Patient Care Orientation (PCO) within 30 days. AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers within 60 days. ASLS - Advanced Stroke Life Support within 180 days. CardioVascular Disease CEU hours - 8 per year annually by transcript due date. NIH Stroke Scale Certification within 180 days. Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training Program (CPI) within 365 days. RN Competency Day annually by transcript due date. Stroke CEU Hours - 8 per year annually by transcript due date.
