Job Requirements POSITION SUMMARY The Clinical Charge Nurse of Home Care demonstrate leadership through the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care according to the standards of professional nursing practice. The Clinical Charge Nurse acts as a resource to the Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) and Nurse Manager (NM) as appropriate for precepting, scheduling, team meetings, and clinical implementations as directed. PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITES 1. Appropriately delegates and supervises all patient care activities within the Healthcare setting. 2. Effectively communicates with other members of the healthcare team and promotes effective team functioning. 3. Helps to monitor the effectiveness of existing processes and policies towards improving quality outcomes; actively participates on quality projects. 4. Recognizes and resolves safety issues and potential unsafe situations within approved policies, procedures and protocol. 5. Actively participates in the development and attainment of department team goals. 6. Uses critical thinking, prudent judgment and direction to staff in nursing assessment, diagnosis, planning, interventions and evaluation of outcomes, and adjusts plan of care as needed. 7. Facilitates and leads effective interdisciplinary care team meetings; serves in a coaching, mentor or instructive role to nurse interns, students and peers, etc. 8.
