Job Requirements POSITION SUMMARY To be fully engaged in providing Quality/No Harm, Customer Service and Stewardship by overseeing the medical care given to patients while implementing high standards of care consistent with clinic office and medical policies and procedures. PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES Assist physician in all procedures as instructed: Maintains all stock in treatment rooms as well as rotation of dated medications, supplies, and keeps correct documentation of narcotic drugs. Collects blood and or samples as directed using sterile techniques which apply; process with correct paperwork, and direct to correct laboratory for processing. Sterilizes all equipment/instruments using proper techniques, as well as technical usage of all other standard equipment used at the Wound Clinic/and or Physician office. Administers all medications as ordered and assures all documentation is noted, as well as calling in medications to area pharmacies when requested by physician. Provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and their patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical wound care setting. Assists in use of equipment and materials in a cost-effective manner. Completes all documentation supporting billable activities in a timely manner. Maintains documentation and assessment of patients' vital signs, drug allergies and description of patients' complaints on all charts. Under the supervision of an RN, case manages patients with their wound care. Applies dressings as ordered per the physician. Work Experience MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse licensure from a credentialed program supported by the Florida Board of Nursing and obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Work Experience: N/A Licensure: Current Florida LPN license. Certification: Must hold and maintain current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider Completion Card prior to start date. Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: Demonstrate good oral and written communication skills. Ability to work in stressful environments. May require moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces, including reaching out and above shoulders or overhead. May be exposed to inside and outside environments with varied temperatures, air quality, lighting and/or low to loud noise. Job Description The CNA/Medication Technician @ The Fountains administers resident medication or assist residents with self-administration of medication and coordinate treatments to residents. Provide assistance with activities of daily living while encouraging independence and ensuring each resident’s physical, social, cultural, and intellectual well-being. This is a full-time position, 6:45pm-7am overnight + every other weekend (3 x 12 hr shifts). Starting pay: $17/hr **Must be a licensed CNA for this role - we will train for Med Tech cert!** What will I do every day? Observe residents for any changes in condition and report to Care Services Director, Resident Care Coordinator (RCC)/Dementia Care Coordinator (DCC), or appropriate physician Assist residents with simple requests as needed or find an appropriate associate to assist Learn resident preferences for opportunities to provide exemplary customer service, exceed resident expectations and enhance resident satisfaction Document and report changes of condition and use company forms for resident care documentation Provide medication set up and assistance Log in medications from pharmacies, verify physician’s orders and communicate any concerns immediately Track all medications and re-order as needed Perform the following tasks with residents: track vital signs, weight, diabetic testing and/or insulin injection (if state allowed), ambulation, and general activities Follow all regulatory and company policies regarding the destruction of medications as identified by the physician, pharmacy, or Care Services Director Assist in documenting and removing medications that are discontinued by the resident’s physician Familiar with the meaning and usage of common medical abbreviations, symbols, and terms relative to the administration of medications Support, lead and participate in resident-centered wellness programs Work toward maintaining each resident’s self-respect, personal dignity, and personal safety Assist resident assistants as needed and whenever primary tasks are completed Track supplies that are needed and communicate to Care Services Director or RCC/DCC Work as part of the team within your department and across the community Support open and honest communication with and between all associates Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working Look for ways to reduce costs and create efficiencies on a daily basis Ensure regulatory compliance and report any issues or concerns immediately Support continuous improvement Adhere to all regulations, laws and Kisco standards, including the Associate Handbook Understand and support the community sales process Perform other related duties as required What will I need to be successful in this role?
