Qualifications EDUCATION: High School graduate or GED Completed training program in Medical Assisting from Accredited College LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Possess a valid CPR certificate Possess a valid drivers' license PRIOR EXPERIENCE: 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferred. SKILLS: Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred but not required. Able to quickly build and maintain rapport with patients and providers of differing backgrounds; team player Customer-service oriented Strong computer skills Familiar with adult learning and general training techniques Positive professional insight Flexibility and dependability Demonstrated good problem-solving skills; sound judgment Effective leadership/supervisory skills Modern office practices and procedures including email Intermediate computer skills Attention to detail and excellent follow-through on work tasks Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds and push up to 50 pounds (on wheels). Must be able to hear staff on the phone and those who are served in-person, and speak clearly in order to communicate information to patients and staff. Must be able to read memos, computer screens, personnel forms and clinical and administrative documents. Must have high manual dexterity. Must be able to reach above the shoulder level to work, must be able to bend, squat and sit, stand, stoop, crouch, reach, kneel, twist/turn. The pay range for this non-exempt position starts at $21 an hour. Our salaries are dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience. How you make a difference The Nurse Supervisor is responsible for the direct supervision of the health care delivery system within their assigned nursing unit. They collect health status data, diagnose patients, set goals, plan and implement care, and evaluate patient progress. The Nurse Supervisor also provides patient education and ensures that ancillary personnel are qualified to perform the services they provide. Key Responsibilities Review and ensure compliance of nursing plans, medical records, and referrals with policies and procedures. Monitor and facilitate progressive patient care through team approach and patient education. Assist DON in maintaining clinical skills of registered nurses and ensuring nursing actions are within scope of licensure. Identify and address potential problems, establish priorities, and propose corrective actions. Maintain unit cleanliness and coordinate patient care with other departments, while ensuring appropriate stock levels of medical supplies and equipment maintenance. Assumes responsibility and accountability for individual judgments and actions, while supporting standards of psychiatric care and providing input into committees and meetings as requested. Additional Details Part time, 8 hour shifts, you pick the day (M-F) Preferred 1 year experience as psych NP Qualifications & Requirements Education Graduation from an accredited nurse practitioner program. Experience Two (2) years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner. Psychiatric experience preferred and/or experience in a residential healthcare institution. Licenses/Certifications Certification as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in the state of practice highly desired. Must maintain CPR certification, and any other certifications (such as First Aid) required by contract.
