Center Care Team - Medical Assistant, Center Float

The Medical Assistant – Internal Float (MA-Float) is a critical role to flexibly support our members and their families from the moment they arrive to the moment they leave the centers. The MA-Float may be asked to serve in front office or direct patient care activities, depending on center and member needs. This role supports the PCP day-to-day and ensure efficiency in the care provided to patients. MAs work closely and collaboratively with their teammates to greet, schedule, and room ArchWell Health members. S/he will be expected to assist in assessing patient’s health conditions, including performing routine diagnostic testing during appointments. The MA-Float may be asked to provide coverage outside of their primary center. Duties/Responsibilities Welcome members upon arrival and help them feel safe and at home, navigating through a seamless and clear check-in process Schedule appointments and coordinate referrals for a multi-disciplinary care team Update member information in the electronic medical records system Request medical records and upload documentation to electronic medical records system Conduct intake with patients, measuring and recording vital signs, patient interview, and medical history; perform examinations and routine screenings, ensuring patients are informed and all questions and concerns are addressed for each procedure Critically listen and engage with patients throughout appointment, ensuring needs and/or changing in patient conditions are reported to PCP, specialists, and/or other clinical personnel Perform all tasks with a hyper focus on patient experience, including answering of incoming calls and processing of patient phone messages, including returning calls; routing calls to other team members as appropriate; and calling patients to obtain and relay pertinent information for the physician Change dressings, apply bandages, remove sutures and other first aid procedures; use CPR skills when necessary, all under physician supervision Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and conduct accurate, legal, and ethical documentation at all times Assist with center events, as needed Required Skills/Abilities Must possess a high degree of emotional intelligence and integrity, driven and focused work ethic Self-starter with the ability to think creatively and work effectively Ability to work effectively with various seniorities and diverse populations including staff, providers, members, family members, insurance carriers, vendors and market leadership Strong communicator that is customer-oriented Excellent critical reasoning, decision-making, and problem-solving skills to analyze situations, determine risks, and find solutions to prevent future issues and resolve recurring defects Experience with claims/quality reports and analytical software packages Proficient PC Skills, including Microsoft Office Suite Ability to maintain professionalism and flexibility in a changing work environment Fluency in - languages spoken by our people in the communities we serve (where necessary) Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent education (GED) required Graduation from a nationally accredited Medical Assistant program OR comparable healthcare vocational training (i.e., foreign-trained physician, paramedic, etc.) required A minimum of 1 year work experience as a Medical Assistant preferred, but not required 6+ months phlebotomy experience is highly desired BLS for Healthcare Providers required EClinicalWorks or similar EMR experience Experience working with geriatric patients is a plus Embodies and serves as a role model of ArchWell Health’s Values Be compassionate Strive for excellence Earn trust Show respect Stay resilient Always do the right thing ArchWell Health is an equal opportunity employer. Licensed Practical Nurse

Experience & Requirements Graduate from a Licensed Practical Nursing program. Currently licensed as a Practical Nurse in the state of employment. Possesses an active CPR certification. Remains knowledgeable about specific state laws and regulations governing practice. Satisfactory completion of initial and annual clinical competencies to demonstrate aptitude as assigned by role. Sign-On Bonus: $7,500 Below is a list of your responsibilities as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with YesCare: Facility: Bullock Correctional Facility Contributes to the assessment of the health status of patients. Participates in the development and modification of a patient’s plan of care. Performs delegated tasks, activities and functions that are consistent with prior educational preparation and within scope of practice. Provides direct basic care to assign multiple clients within the structure of the healthcare program at their facility. Provides safe and effective nursing care and assumes responsibility for the care delivered. Implements patient education based on established teaching plans. Utilizes a problem solving approach as the basis for their decision making. Monitor offsite and onsite scheduling with a collaborative approach. Monitor consult process as it relates to policy and contract. Participates in Quality Improvement. Participate in Patient Care Committee Meeting Monitor CARES- with coordination as needed Ensure onsite and offisite follow up care of patients along with telemedicine appointments Will work in collaboration with Regional Medical Director, site medical providers, Regional Nursing Director and other site nursing leaders. Performs other nursing duties as assigned.
