She/he implements the Nursing Service standards of care and practice, as appropriate to the ages of the patients served and the areas of clinical practice. Exhibits critical thinking in the assessment, planning, prioritization, delivery and evaluation of patient care. Identifies individualized patient/significant other learning needs and implements appropriate measures to meet needs. Demonstrates knowledge, respect and sensitivity of patient's rights. Serves as a patient advocate. Assures confidentiality of patient information. Maintains effective communication with staff. physicians, patients and families, also within the unit and with other departments. Participates in the development of standards and unit departmental performance improvement activity. Position will work at both the Andrus and Dobbs Ferry Pavilions. Qualifications Bachelor in Nursing preferred. Currently licensed and registered to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York. Current BLS, ACLS , EKG and PALS Certification preferred. Emergency Department/critical care experience preferred.

Qualifications Bachelor in Nursing preferred. Currently licensed and registered to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York. Must possess current BLS Certification; ACLS preferred. Med Surg / Telemetry experience preferred.

Personalized care together with advanced technology is what it means to be Community Strong Responsibilities The Administrative Supervisor is a registered Professional Nurse who assists in planning, directing, coordinating, and evaluating nursing services on the evening and night shifts. She/he is responsible for the administrative operation of the Department of Nursing on tour. The Administrative Supervisor acts as a representative of Hospital Administration on the assigned tour. Identifies and resolves problems and communicates major or unresolved issues/problems to the appropriate Administrator and/or Nursing service personnel. Provides leadership and direction in accordance with organizational and departmental goals and objectives. Serves as a resource person to all nursing personnel and to other hospital staff for discussion orassistance in problem solving and intervention with staff, patients, families or physicians as needed.Participates in the evaluation of the performance of nursing staff on assigned shift. Conducts regular unit rounds to assess the quality of nursing care and practice. Initiates counseling and/or disciplinary actions in situations requiring immediate intervention. Assesses and adjusts assigned staff on the basis of census and acuity to provide adequate staffing. Qualifications Registered Professional Nurse currently licensed in New York State. Baccalaureate degree or an equivalent combination of experience and education required; Masters degree preferred. Demonstrate competence as a nursing practitioner with a minimum of 3 - 5 years clinical/supervisory experience.Strong leadership ability along with outstanding communication and organizational skills.
