Key Responsibilities : Infection Control Duties Oversee the facility’s infection prevention and control program, ensuring adherence to protocols and compliance with all regulatory standards. Assistant Director of Nursing (ADNS) Duties Assist the Director of Nursing Services (DNS) in daily clinical operations and overall management of the nursing team. Act as a resource for nursing staff, offering guidance, training, and support in clinical practices and resident care. Provide leadership in ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, maintaining accurate records, and facilitating quality assurance initiatives. Serve as acting DNS in the absence of the DNS to ensure continuity of care and leadership. Qualifications : Current, unrestricted RN license in Connecticut. Minimum of 3 years of experience in long-term care, with a strong background in infection control, wound care, and/or nursing leadership. Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems, infection control, and wound care documentation software. Exceptional organizational and communication skills, with a detail-oriented and proactive approach to problem-solving. Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC) and/or Wound Care (WCC) preferred, or willingness to obtain within one year of hire.
