RN Manager Job Description: To function at a professional nursing level using both administrative leadership and clinical expertise in order to assure that comprehensive care and treatment is rendered to resident population, collaborates with the interdisciplinary team in the design, implementation and evaluation of various programs within the unit. Twenty-four hour responsibility for the continuity of nursing care and the management of the resident welfare. Perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, charting, etc., as necessary Day to Day Supervision of Licensed and Non-Licensed staff, including counseling/disciplinary action, evaluations, one-to-one in service, suspension Maintain an ongoing quality assurance program for the nursing unit Develop methods for coordination of nursing services with other resident services to ensure the continuity of the residents total regimen of care Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public. Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance as requires. Related experience at a level necessary to accomplish this position.
