Description MaineHealth Mid Coast Hospital is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to work in our 93-bed acute care facility, with more than 200 providers on active medical staff and broad subspecialty support. This position is full-time, 40 hours per week, with 10-hour shifts (some flexibility on days).CRNAs at Mid Coast do not have first call responsibilities. The successful CRNA will be working in consultation with a physician anesthesiologist, operating under an anesthesia care team model. Bean 2 is a fast-paced 12-bed Total Joint Center. This position offers the R6/B2 RN an opportunity to care for a diverse patient population in a supportive environment as an integral member of a collaborative team of highly trained staff. The R6 patient population includes adults and older adolescents with neurological and orthopedic conditions including closed head injuries, strokes, brain tumors, seizure disorders, multi-traumas, and conditions requiring neurosurgical intervention. RNs providing care in the R6 IMC demonstrate astute assessment and critical thinking skills, as patients in IMC often have multi-system issues that require telemetry monitoring, intra-cranial pressure monitoring, medication drips, frequent intervention, or other higher acuity care needs. The Bean 2 patient population consists of adults who have undergone joint replacement surgeries. This unit serves as the Joint Center for our nationally recognized and Joint Commission accredited joint replacement program. The RN on Bean 2 coordinates important milestones of care for each patient’s visit to facilitate a timely and safe discharge. This unit sees a high turnover of patients and consistently receives exceptional patient satisfaction scores. Critical Care or PACU experience is strongly preferred.
