Job Summary and Qualifications As the Surgical Technologist, you will be an active member of the team in the Operating Room. The Surgical Technologist functions under the direct supervision of the OR nurse. This role is responsible for the sterile field, instrumentation, sterile technique, and other tasks required during the procedure. What you will do in this role: D emonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served. P romote customer service initiatives. F unction as scrub person during operative procedures. D emonstrate ability to perform technical skills and procedures. A ssist in the intra-operative care of the patient by performing technical duties as assigned D eliver compassionate, holistic care, while supporting the rights and dignity of all patients. What qualifications you will need: Graduate of an accredited Surgical Tech Program required. Certification as a Surgical Technologist require d. Surgical technologist students may be hired prior to graduation (within 3 months of graduation). Upon graduation, verification of completion of requirements will be verified. Failure to complete graduation requirements can result in termination of the position. Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 25 pounds . How you make a difference The Regional Director of Nursing (RDON) is a highly skilled and experienced Registered Professional Nurse with advanced studies and expertise in Nursing Services administration. As an RDON, they are responsible for structuring, planning, and implementing the Nursing Service Program within assigned regions, ensuring that all activities are compliant with American Correctional Association (ACA), National Commission on Correctional Health Care (NCCHC), and State accreditation standards. The RDON's authority, responsibility, and accountability ensure that the nursing program's goals, objectives, policies, and procedures align with those of the company and the facility. Key Responsibilities Oversee planning, policy development, and patient care evaluation to ensure compliance with ACA, NCCHC, and State standards. Provide guidance and support to nursing staff in their region, including coordinating training and education opportunities. Serve as a liaison between nursing services, other healthcare providers, and the Regional Manager and Medical Director. Monitor and report on nursing incidents and communicable diseases, and assess policies and procedures as needed. Assist the Medical Director in developing nursing guidelines and manuals for the region. Qualifications & Requirements Education Must be graduated from an accredited School of Nursing. Experience Emergency Room, communicable disease, with medical and surgical experience preferred. 5 years of supervisory experience in an acute setting recommended. Experience in delivery and administration of correctional nursing services preferred. Licenses/Certifications Must have and maintain current licensure as a registered nurse within the state as well as CPR certification.
