Monitor patient’s condition and assess their needs to provide the best possible care and advice Observe and interpret patient’s symptoms and communicate them to physicians and other providers Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to devise individualized care plans for patients Perform routine procedures (blood pressure measurements, administering injections etc.) and document in the electronic record Administer patient’s medication and provide treatments according to physician’s orders and according to scope of practice Inspect the facilities and act to maintain excellent hygiene and safety (decontaminating equipment, sanitizing surfaces, preparing beds etc.) Provide instant medical care in emergencies Foster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families Expand knowledge and capabilities by attending educational workshops, conferences etc. 
Colquitt Regional Health System is currently hiring a Nurse Practitioner. The Cardiology Nurse Practitioner will assume care of specific cardiology patients under the direction of on-duty physician. Follows established standards, procedures and practices for patient care. At all times comply with all rules and regulations as described by the Composite State Board of Medical Examiners and the Board of Nursing. Assisting with inpatient consults, daily rounding, and discharge orders. Responding to inpatient requests in collaboration with supervising physician. May participate in oversight of cardiology diagnostic studies. Cardiology or specialty experience preferred. ACLS required. Acute care, Adult, or Family nurse practitioner. Interview patients and record medical history Measure patients vitals, such as blood pressure and weight Help physicians with patient examinations Give patients injections or medications as directed by physicians and as permitted by state law Having knowledge about insurance is preferred Meditech & LabCorp knowledge preferred
