Key Responsibilities: - Provide personal care assistance to clients, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene maintenance. - Assist with mobility and transportation, helping clients move around safely and comfortably. - Prepare nutritious meals and assist clients with dietary needs, ensuring they receive proper nutrition. - Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients’ health, reporting any changes to the medical team or family members. - Engage clients in meaningful activities, including conversation, games, exercise, and hobbies, to promote mental and emotional well-being. - Maintain a clean and safe living environment, including household tasks such as laundry and light housekeeping. - Document and maintain accurate records of care provided and progress notes. - Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care. - Respect client confidentiality and uphold the dignity of each individual. Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in caregiving or a related field is a plus. - Previous experience as a caregiver, personal support worker, or in a role with similar responsibilities is preferred. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and patient demeanor. - Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks. - Basic knowledge of common medical conditions and necessary care practices. - Physical stamina to assist clients with mobility and perform necessary tasks. - Current CPR and First Aid certification is preferred. - Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required, depending on the job location.
