Lamoni Specialty Care – Lamoni, IA Position: Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) – RN Shift: Daytime Hours | 3 shifts per week (8-hour shifts) Part-time – Option to move to Full-time with 1–2 Charge Nurse shifts if desired. What you'd do as an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) at Care Initiatives: Assist the DON in planning, organizing, and directing the nursing department, with the aim of gaining valuable experience and expertise for potential advancement within the organization. Conduct regular rounds to monitor care delivery concerns and progress; acknowledge the progress while proposing and helping implement solutions to address concerns. Participate in an on-call rotation with other members of the leadership team. What it takes to become an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) with Care Initiatives: Valid RN license in good standing. License must be valid within the state of Iowa, or ability to activate. Current, valid CPR Certification. Knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations and laws preferred. You will interact with other medical disciplines as needed & provide professional care to the patient. You will also perform the admission visit to the patient in the home & determine the patient’s eligibility for home care services & develop the plan of care to be followed. Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited diploma, Associate, or Baccalaureate School of Nursing. Current state license as a Registered Nurse. Current state Driver’s License. One year’s experience as a Registered Nurse, two preferred. Proof of current CPR and Hepatitis consent/declination. Reliable transportation with valid and current auto liability insurance.
