Responsibilities The LVN Skilled Nursing Director of Staff Development (DSD) is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive training and education programs for specific levels of staff (e.g., CNAs, RNAs, LVNs) to ensure clinical competency, regulatory compliance, and high-quality resident care. The DSD collaborates with nursing and facility leadership to assess training needs, develop curriculums, and delivers both classroom and hands-on training sessions. This role supports orientation for new hires, conducts ongoing staff competency assessments, and assists with the implementation of policies and procedures to maintain standards of care. Accountabilities 1. Plans, develops, directs, evaluates, supervises, and coordinates educational and on-the-job training programs.2. Provides leadership in formulating the goals and objectives of the in-service educational program and evaluates and ensures the quality of in-service programs.3. Secures, develops, and maintains records, reports, instructional manuals, reference materials, etc. pertinent to in-service educational programs per state and federal regulations.4.
