Travel ER RN – Julesburg, CO Location: Julesburg, CO Start Date: December 22, 2025 Assignment Length: 13 weeks Schedule: 3x12 hour night shifts Pay Range: $2100–$2254 per week (gross) Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Travel Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) for a 13-week contract assignment in Julesburg, Colorado. RN Emergency Department

Travel Registered Nurse — Night Shift (Critical Access Hospital) Contract Overview Assignment length: 13-week travel contract Shift: 12-hour nights Start date: ASAP (immediate starts required) Location: Critical access hospital — Colorado (must hold active CO RN license) Units: Emergency Department and Med-Surg float (will work ED area and float to MS) Unit and Patient Population Bed count: 15 beds Patient age range: Birth through geriatric (birth‑geriatric) Typical acuity: COPD, Diabetes, CHF, cardiac conditions, trauma Staffing ratio: 2:1 (nurse to patient) Technology: Cerner EMR; telemetry equipment in use Pharmacy: No in-house pharmacy — RN expected to prepare/mix medications independently Key Responsibilities Provide safe, competent nursing care for ED and med-surg patients across the lifespan, following hospital policies and standards. Triage, assess, and manage patients in the ED; stabilize and coordinate care for trauma and acute cardiac presentations. Administer and titrate cardiac and diabetic drips per protocol; monitor telemetry and respond to arrhythmias and changes in status. Float to med-surg as needed to support admissions, discharges, and ongoing patient care. Accurately document assessments, interventions, medication administration, and patient responses in Cerner EMR. Prepare and mix medications when required, maintaining aseptic technique and accurate dosing. Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team, providers, and transfer/transport services. Maintain required certifications and complete mandatory training and competency checks. Required Qualifications License: Active Colorado RN license at time of submission. Experience: Minimum 2 years as an RN in an inpatient setting; ED and med-surg experience strongly preferred. Clinical skills: Experience with telemetry monitoring, cardiac and diabetic drip management, and trauma care. Certifications: TNCC, ACLS, and BLS required and on file at time of submission. Documentation: Proficient with Cerner or similar EMR systems. Other: Ability to mix/prepare medications safely; comfortable working independently in a critical access setting. Physical and Work Environment Fast-paced night shift with variable patient acuity and occasional high-acuity trauma. Frequent standing, walking, lifting, and patient transfers; ability to respond quickly to emergencies. Must be able to work autonomously and make critical decisions with limited on-site resources.
