Assists other staff by directing delivery of psychiatric & nursing care: monitors LPN’s in administration of medications; provides input in establishing Nursing policies & procedures; assists Director of Nursing in administrative matters concerning health care; helps the Infection Control Nurse with matters (e.g., in-services to Living Area staff on infection control issues, hand washing, catheter care, general refreshers; monthly infection & safe ty surveillance monitors on each Living Area). Completes & maintains notes, reports & forms: prepares nursing assessments; submits repair orders as necessary; orders medications for clients’ visits.
