The Minimal Data Set (MDS) Coordinator collects and assesses information and data on residents in nursing facilities. Working under moderate supervision, this role organizes the Resident Assessment Instrument process and transmits timely information without errors. Evaluates the staff competencies in the Resident Assistant Information process to find opportunities for growth. Communicates with Aides through weekly meetings in order to identify gaps and needs in the restorative program and continued services. Collaborates with the nursing and therapy departments in order to coordinate reimbursements for services. Participates in continuous education as Minimal Data Set processes change to educate themselves and share knowledge with the interdisciplinary team. Contributes to continuous process improvement by sharing results from quality audits. Performs other duties as assigned.
