About the unit With 2 floors and 164 beds we are able to provide care for long term care residents and post-acute rehab patients. Nurse-patient ratios vary depending on the shift and the population you will be serving. It has a long term care unit and a rehab unit. Each floor has designated units that focus on patient specialties, such as general rehab, neuro rehab, traumatic brain injuries and cancer. The nurses on this unit care for a wide range of patients who have undergone complex neurological surgeries and procedures as well as trauma. We are also a designated Comprehensive Stroke Center and therefore care for newly diagnosed stroke patients in need of emergent thrombolytic and neuro interventional treatment. Additionally, H3 contains an Epilepsy Monitoring Unit which provides these patients all types of medical and surgical care options. General Summary: Under the direction of the Office Manager, the Medical Assistant performs administrative and clinical duties to care for patients in an ambulatory setting.
