Responsibilities Assists physicians in the insertion of catheters and patient monitoring. Administers and coordinates technical activities involved in the installation, operation, maintenance and repair of the catheterization equipment and maintains record of protocol. Coordinates evaluation and care of patient pre-procedure, intra-procedure and post procedure, including supervision of education and observation for untoward effects. Plans and facilitates unit based education to maintain and enhance the clinical competency of the nursing staff.
