Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, psychologists, and social workers, to ensure holistic patient care. Offer counseling and psychotherapy services to patients and their families. Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards. Participate in clinical meetings, case conferences, and quality improvement initiatives. Requirements: Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of New York with specialization in Psychiatry (PMHNP). Ability to work independently and effectively manage a caseload of patients. Strong diagnostic skills and knowledge of psychiatric medications and treatment modalities. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to establish rapport with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members. The Registered Nurse 1 (T&RC) is a full performance level nurse position and possesses a license as a registered professional nurse in New York State; under the general direction of a higher level registered nurse or licensed health care provider, independently provides direct nursing care to individuals in accordance with Article 139 of the Education Law; supervises nursing care activities; and provides clinical supervision and training to Graduate Nurses (T&RC), Teaching & Research Center Licensed Practical Nurses, and direct care staff. RN Unit Manager - Nursing Home Located in Brooklyn, NY Salary Range: $115K - $120K *(based on experience)* Essential Functions : Demonstrates the knowledge and clinical expertise required to effectively supervise all nursing activities on the unit. Reviews and implements all nursing procedures and systems relative to the unit. Assesses and evaluates the systems which facilitate the delivery of quality Resident care. Assesses and evaluates the performance and competency of staff on the unit. Uses a systematic approach to provide individualized nursing care. Performs nursing assessments regarding the health status of the Resident. Contributes to the Resident’s assessment (MDS/CAA’s) and development plan of care. Develops a plan of care based on assessment, implementing nursing care. Selects and institutes appropriate nursing intervention which might be required to stabilize a Resident’s condition and/or prevent complications. Consults and collaborates with physician or licensed independent practitioner. Designs promote and organize Resident education and counseling based on health needs. Collaborates with the Resident, members of the healthcare team, and, when appropriate, the Resident’s significant other(s) in the interest of the Resident’s healthcare. Facilitates the quality assurance and performance improvement projects for assigned unit.
