Job Responsibilities

Planning and managing the routine care of patients at acute facilities in the area
Performing basic medical tasks (such as the administration of medication) to assist the medical team
Updating patient records while respecting — and protecting — the confidentiality of patient information
Observing, measuring, and timely recording the vital signs of patients
Monitoring patients' conditions and responding to their needs
Helping patients to move to and from wheelchairs, beds, and stretchers
Changing dressings and bandages and monitoring wounds to ensure healing
Providing a clean and sanitary environment to support the comfort of each patient
Assisting patients with daily activities such as dressing, feeding, and bathing
Observing urinary and other drainage catheters and reporting signs of infection
Communicating directly with patients and their loved ones regarding treatments and procedures

Qualifications and Skills

Active, unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license for New Hampshire
2 years of LPN practice experience
Successful completion of all state required training and/or state-sanctioned competency exam(s)
BLS certified by the American Heart Association
Immunizations as required
