Job Responsibilities

Delivering high quality nursing care in post-acute care facilities
Observing the conditions of residents and notifying the nursing team of updates
Monitoring and reporting on residents' vital signs
Ensuring a clean and safe environment by performing tasks such as sanitizing surfaces and changing linens
Assisting residents with personal hygiene, feeding, grooming, and other activities of daily living (ADLs)
Repositioning residents and transporting them around the facility as needed
Liaising between staff, residents, and family members to support ongoing communication and transparency
Engaging with residents on a regular basis and responding to their needs
Being accountable to follow and adhere to care plans for residents, and all applicable laws, regulations, and policies

Qualifications and Skills

Current Pennsylvania Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
Understanding of general nursing care procedures and terminology
Ability to communicate with medical professionals as well as patients/residents and their family members
High level of attention to detail
Lifting requirement of at least 50 lbs

Use protective clothing or devices when handling infectious waste and/or blood/body fluids. Report missing or illegible labels and MSDSs to your Supervisor. Ensure that emergency equipment (i.e. triangles, fire extinguisher, and first-aid kit) are available and in good working condition. Recommend to your Supervisor the equipment and supply needs for the Facility’s vehicle. Use supplies in an efficient manner to avoid waste. Assist in the moving and arranging of equipment and supplies to assure that the Facility’s vehicle are ready for scheduled appointments and activities. Supporting Nursing and Maintenance Departments as needed Requirements of the CNA Transport Driver: Must possess a Driver's License in the State of PA with a clean driving record Must have a high school diploma/GED Must be CPR Certified Must be dependable, timely, friendly, good phone skills, and have excellent customer service.
