Job Responsibilities

Preparing and administering medications to residents in SNFs, ALFs, and other post-acute facilities in your area
Making sure the right person is administered the right drug, dose, route, and time in accordance with patient records
Providing reminders and overseeing residents' self-administration of medications
Recording patients' vital signs and other data related to medication administration
Relaying any issues or concerns to the supervising nurse
Helping to ensure residents' confidentiality
Assisting residents with activities of daily life (ADLs)

Qualifications and Skills

Current North Carolina Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification
High school diploma or equivalent (minimum)
Current certification as a state nursing assistant (CNA/LNA/STNA)

Review medication cards for completeness of information, accuracy in the transcription of the physician’s order and adherence to stop order policies . What you need: Current Medication Aide Certification or Current Nursing Assistant Certification from NC. Must have a current/active CPR certification. Effective verbal and written English communication skills. Demonstrated intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook, Internet and Intranet navigation. Highest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to communicate at all levels of organization and work well within a team environment in support of company objectives. Customer service oriented with the ability to work well under pressure.
