Job Summary: 

The Manager of Business Operations is responsible for the financial management of the Surgical Services perioperative areas which include the main facility and the St Tammany Health System Surgery Center. Provides financial support to the Directors of Surgical Services to include financial reports, budgets, labor efficiency analysis, cost, revenue and reimbursement analysis, contracts, and identification/prioritization of capital needs. Works in collaboration with Materials, Finance, Revenue Cycle Management, Hospital and Dept analysts, & the legal department for contract review.

Ensures compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, CMS coding guidelines and reimbursement IP and OP, and St Tammany Health System (STHS) policies while supporting the strategic goals of the organization and the growth and profitability of the surgery business.

Minimum Qualifications:

Clinical Education:

  • Surgical Technologist or RN with a minimum of 3 years’ clinical experience in the Operating Room or circulating required.
  • Experience in a hospital / surgical setting preferred.

Degree: Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related field.
  • Post graduate degree (preferably an MBA).

SKILLS and COMPETENCIES:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Software is required
  • Strong leadership, organizational skills, and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
