Unit Summary:

This unit cares primarily for adult acute care patients who have a wide variety of diagnosis and co-morbidities. Patients most commonly have cardiac and medical conditions but may also be post-surgical.  Common medical diagnoses are chest pain, pneumonia, renal failure, COPD, CHF, atrial fibrillation, GI bleed and syncope. Post pacemaker and Cardiac Cath/PCI patients can be placed here as well. These patients require telemetry monitoring.   

Medical 5 encourages staff involvement in shared governance and continued professional growth.  It has been recognized as the Daisy Team of the Year.  This unit includes a variety of new graduates and experienced nurses who collaborate with multidiscipline to provide high quality care.  

​39-bed Med Surg/Tele Unit  

Hours: 36 hours/week, Night Shift, Every third weekend

Qualifications: 

  • RN Massachusetts license required

  • ASN required

  • Current BLS certification required

  • ACLS is preferred but not required

  • Tele experience preferred but not required

  • IV experience preferred but not required

Infection Control Nurse

We are hiring an Infection Preventionist (Infection Control Nurse) to join our dynamic care team at Marlborough Hills Rehabilitation & Health Care Center! Shift is Monday-Friday with weekly pay ranging from $38 to $50, depending on licensure and experience. Can be an LPN or RN. As the ICN, you plan, organize, develop, coordinate, direct and evaluate our Infection Control Program and its components to ensure that an effective Infection Prevention & Control Program is maintained.
