JOB SUMMARY
With a commitment to patient and family centered care, the Administrative Supervisor serves as the hospital operational oversight leader across all shifts in ways that value the uniqueness of each individual and addresses the physiological, emotional, and social needs of the diversity of patients served by Jefferson Health. The Administrative Supervisor is responsible for facilitating patient movement, staffing, emergency management (both medical and facilities), clinical coordination and collaboration across all departments. The Administrative Supervisor plans for, leads, and coordinates the provision of quality care and service from a hospital wide perspective. In the off shifts, the Administrative Supervisor also functions as the liaison for departments that do not have onsite leadership during non-business hours. In collaboration with administrative directors and managers, the Administrative Supervisor provides leadership, consultation and collaboration in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment.

Provides leadership and direction, for operational activities of the organization, department(s), units or inter-departmental activities including efficient coordination of patient movement and flow across the health system including to the appropriate level of care in collaboration with the unit leadership.
Supports department leadership activities in managing clinical excellence and safe patient care delivery to achieve compliance with professional, regulatory bodies, hospital and department standards including:Experience of Care/Patient and Family Satisfaction. Enforces strategies for sustaining a “patient-centric” culture. Communicates to the staff the quality of the patient experience through feedback.Colleague commitment and engagement. Partners with the Nursing Leadership Team to improve the colleague experience as a necessary outcome to improve patient experience and clinical excellence; including participation in the development and implementation of initiatives geared to professional staff, nursing and all other colleagues.Working Relationship/Contacts: Has contact with patients and their families, providers, residents, students, other departmental personnel, community representatives, nursing staff and all other hospitals within the referral area.Environment of Care/Workforce Security. In partnership with security services and administrative leaders provides leadership to enforce workforce safety and environment of care strategies for staff, patients and families.Workforce Management. Collaborates with resource management staffing coordinators to ensure optimal deployment of workforce resources. Responsible for ongoing review of all staffing deployment decisions of workforce resourcesAdministrative Nursing Supervisor Workforce Management. Responsible for:Balance the schedule after self-scheduling completeManage Vacation requestsEnsure Holiday requirements are met and fairly distributedLast minute changes due to call offs or surges in activityReconcile MyTime and MySchedule prior to Director sign off on Payroll
Serves as a clinical resource regarding policy and procedures, patient standards, performance improvement and risk management issues.
Expresses self orally in individual or group situations in a manner that delivers the message to nursing staff and other health professionals in an accurate and appropriate manner.
Supports and contributes to a culture that allows staff to feel appreciated, included and valued.
Facilitates the goals and objectives of the Department of Nursing and the Hospital.
Coaches and supports leaders and staff for continual improvement. Responsible for leading education and professional development of the administrative nursing leadership team including:Ensure all Annual Mandatory Education modules are completed on timeIdentify opportunities for ongoing education/professional developmentEnsure all licenses & certifications are up to date (CPR, ACLS, HWC, etc)Provide regular communication to the team regarding operational changes other time sensitive informationResponsible for the integration/coordination of the Supervisors across all 3 campuses

in Nursing
Experience - Required
nursing experience – critical care or ER preferred
