The listed pay range or pay rate reflects compensation for a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) position. Actual compensation may differ depending on assigned hours and position status (e.g., part-time).

Position Overview
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Verifies identity of the patient using appropriate identifiers and verifies physician order for procedure per applicable policies and procedures.
- Obtains a complete and relevant patient history to include medications as evidenced by departmental documentation tools.
- Utilizes appropriate infection control measures to ensure thorough cleansing of equipment and other recording accessories as directed by manufacturer's guidelines and departmental policies and procedures; evidenced by equipment inspection.
- Prepares and provides an accurate technical report for the interpreting physician on all studies completed.
- Transfers all studies upon completion via the network connection and verifies transfer in accordance with department policy and procedure. Logs and submits charges on all completed studies immediately upon completion in accordance with department policy and procedure as evidenced by reporting systems.
- Performs all duties in the Medical Assistant (C) job description.
- Is cross-trained to perform CHMG Patient Reception Rep duties as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate from a post-secondary Medical Assistance Program accredited by a national accrediting agency approved by NJ (American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) , National Center of Competency Testing (NCCT), National Health Career Association (NHA) or American Medical Technologist (AMT), Board of Medical Examiners (BME) or National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP).
- Three years previous medical assistant experience required; one year TMS experience preferred; in lieu of TMS experience must complete training course within 60 days of hire and receive certificate
