A specialized Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is needed for a contract position in a school setting located in the Joliet/St. Charles, IL area. This role focuses on providing dedicated one-on-one healthcare support to a student with Down Syndrome, requiring expertise in G-tube feedings and diabetic care management.

Key Responsibilities:

Administer approximately eight G-tube feedings daily, ensuring proper nutrition and safety.
Monitor blood glucose levels using the Blue Loop app, maintaining accurate records.
Provide insulin administration and perform carbohydrate counting to manage diabetes effectively.
Collaborate with school staff to support the student’s health and educational needs.
Respond promptly and appropriately to any changes in the student’s health condition.

Desired Qualifications:

Current LPN or LVN license with relevant school nursing experience.
Proficiency in G-tube feeding and diabetic care management in pediatric settings.
Familiarity with blood glucose monitoring tools, specifically the Blue Loop system.
