Job Description Summary:
The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) (Physician Assistant (PA) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)) works in collaboration with the physician in the inpatient and outpatient setting caring for acute, chronically ill or injured patients. Responsibilities will vary depending on specialty.Responsibilities And Duties:
Works under direction and in consultation/collaboration with physician. Assesses and evaluates patients, H&Ps, orders and interprets diagnostic tests, etc. Assists in diagnostic and invasive procedures. Pre-operative and post-operative care, writes orders, discharges, etc. Promotes quality outcomes and initiatives. In the hospital the PA needs a Supervisory Physician Agreement submitted to the Medical Board of Ohio yearly review w Practice to submit to State Medical Boar d . Practices within applicable state laws, appropriate boards, and in accordance with his/her standard care arrangement and delineation of privileges.As a High Reliability Organization (HRO), responsibilities require focus on safety, quality and efficiency in performing job duties.
