Join the Providence ExpressCare Anchorage, Alaska team as a full-time nurse practitioner or physician assistant.

As a Mission based, community focused service, the clinics provide the perfect work-life balance with a 3-day week schedule. ExpressCare serves as a critical access point for the organization, supporting overflow of patients from primary care, urgent care and emergency departments. There is plenty of variety in their services which demand critical thinking and clinic-based procedures, which providers interest in every day. ExpressCare serves the purpose of providing access to communities, both in person and virtually, while also offering a more predictable day with a schedule of 30 twenty-minute appointments in a 12-hour period. Although this position offers autonomy in practice with a single provider model supported by a MA, there is a large support structure in place with a larger team connected virtually. Included in the generous compensation package is the potential for a productivity incentive.

Ideal candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in Family Practice, Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine, as well as have the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and embrace the opportunities to respond to the need of the community as they arise. This role is focused on inpatient care and provides the opportunity to work collaboratively with interventional cardiologists in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. The Nurse Practitioner will function as an advanced practice provider delivering comprehensive cardiovascular care across the continuum, with a strong emphasis on interventional and procedural cardiology. Essential Responsibilities: Provide advanced inpatient cardiovascular care for patients undergoing interventional cardiology and electrophysiology procedures Manages the care of the patient, collaborating with the physician when necessary, according to SJO approved standardized procedures Assess the status of the patient and intervenes with appropriate orders and interventions. Monitors patient progress to ensure clinical and financial outcomes. Orders and evaluates appropriate diagnostic studies. Orders appropriate therapeutic interventions. Assists in tracking and trending outcome performance data on patient populations. Assist in the maintenance of databases specific to assigned patient populations.
