This role will support Rush system growth initiatives including, but not limited to, access to Midwest Ortho at Rush referrals and virtual specialty care consults. This provider will function independently in their own clinic at up to three clinic locations including: Rush University Medical Center, Oak Brook, Oak Lawn and Hinsdale, IL.

Nurse Practitioner:
Rush has over 600 APPs across the enterprise that provide comprehensive patient care each day autonomously and in collaboration with other members of the health care team. Across the system, the APPs are supported by 4 levels of leadership, including 39 Lead APPs, three chief CRNAs, and a Senior Director of Advanced Practice Providers. Rush’s vision is to have every APP practicing at full scope and top of license. APPs at Rush are highly competent, well-respected members of the healthcare team that contribute to the excellent quality care that Rush patients receive each day.

Rush offers competitive total compensation that includes base pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for our employees. The total pay range shown reflects the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, specialty; relevant experience and training; and other business and organizational factors. This total pay range is for a full-time, 1.0 FTE employee, and includes any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role. Additional compensation may include premium pay rates, sign-on bonuses, and relocation allowances. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package.
Pay Range: $124,610 - $175,000

Department/division specs
- Practice alongside one Bariatric/Medical Weight Loss physician and eight fellow APPs
- Four, 10-hour or five, 8-hour shifts/week
- No weekends, no call
- Report directly to the Department of Surgery Lead APP
- 100% outpatient
- Applicants with previous Advanced Practice Provider experience preferred, not required. Relevant RN experience may be considered.
- Preferred candidates have an interest in medical management of obesity and lifestyle medicine and have a strong background in internal medicine or managing chronic health conditions.
Nurse Practitioner:
- Current licensure from the State of Illinois as a Registered Professional Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse or eligible to obtain a licensure through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) application process
- Master of Science in Nursing or Doctorate of Nursing practice with clinical specialty appropriate to position
- Current certification by American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioner (AANP)
- CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Current licensure from the State of Illinois as a Physician Assistant/Associate or eligible to obtain a licensure through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) application process
- Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant/Associate Program
- Current certification from National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
- CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications
