Medical Surgical unit – responsible for improving the quality care for the Medical patient. Patients are admitted to a 23 bed Medical Surgical/Observation unit. The Registered Nurse will care for patients that have undergone general surgery

Associate Degree Nursing
Bachelor Degree Nursing preferred
2 Years’ experience as a registered nurse with previous experience as a charge nurse or similar leadership role (i.e. Charge nurse, committee chair, preceptor) Required

BCLS - prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 days required

Education Bachelor's Degree Nursing Required Experience 3 Years Experience as a registered nurse with previous experience as a charge nurse or similar leadership role (i.e., charge nurse, committee chair, preceptor, supervisor) Required Women's Services Experience Strongly Preferred Supervisory or Managerial experience Strongly Preferred Licenses and Certifications RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required And BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required NRP a Plus Skills Knowledge of industry standards:organization, theory, principles, and research processes, quality improvement and change management techniques, financial analysis, budget process and planning, accreditation and regulatory standards, strategic planning principles, ability to assess nursing care requirements based on nursing principles, scope of practice, and regulatory standards.
