White Oak Medical Center seeks to hire a Director of Nursing Research & Quality Outcome who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.
The Nursing Research, Clinical Evidence Based Practice (EBP) Quality Outcome Leader is responsible for leading the integration of evidence-based practices into clinical workflows to improve patient outcomes, safety, and care quality. This role collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to evaluate current practices, implement research backed interventions, and foster a culture of inquiry and continuous improvement; coordinates nursing research goals to align with Adventist Healthcare strategic goals.
As the Director of Nursing Research & Quality Outcome, you will:
• Lead and support the development, implementation, and evaluation of EBP initiatives, clinical research across departments. Maintain oversight NDNQI database.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to identify areas for improvement and translate research findings into practice. Monitor and report on patient outcomes related to EBP interventions.
• Mentor staff in EBP methodology, including literature review, critical appraisal, and project design. Facilitate training sessions and workshops on EBP principles and quality improvement tools.
• Participates in and supports quality and performance improvement initiatives. Works with relevant leaders to support the implementation of key tactics related to the WOMC strategic plan.
• Develop Best Evidence and Recommendation (BEaR) statements to guide clinical decision making in collaboration with operational excellence.
• Provides leadership and structure for the translation of research findings into improvements in practice and improved patient outcomes. Researches, benchmarks and presents issues/recommendations in relation to emerging healthcare trends.
• Mentors’ nurses in proposal development, abstract writing and completion of research and evidence-based practice projects. Performs ongoing data collection, monitoring and assessment of project achievements to support targeted goals and outcomes. Publishes and presents findings from research studies at local and national programs.
• Facilitates EBP to achieve positive outcomes within AHC Pillars of Excellence. People, Quality& Safety, Experience and Finance
• Ensures outcome alignment with regulatory standards and organizational goals.
• Maintains oversight of GWTG Resuscitation (Get with the Guidelines) metrics, develops EVBP practice guidelines to support and achieve excellence in patient outcomes
• Support WOMC strategic goals with critical emphasis on Pillars of Excellence 5% Other Duties as Assigned
Qualifications Include:
• Master’s Required
• Bachelor of Nursing Required
• DNP (Doctor of Nursing Practice) preferred
• Three years of experience in nursing and/or nursing quality outcome leadership required
• Two years prior experience with project management
• One year experience in related activities
• Valid MD Nursing License
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support Certification
• National Nursing Certification in Nursing Administration, Leadership, Clinical Specialty, or Staff Development preferred.

Pay Range:
$120,078.40 - $180,003.20If the salary range is listed as $0 or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process.
