Job Summary and Qualifications

The schedule for this position is Monday and Friday 2p-10:30p, 2p-6p Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday plus rotating weekends (6am-2:30pm)

As an Anesthesia Technician, you will work closely with the anesthesia team and surgical staff to help every procedure go safely and smoothly. You will play a key role in keeping equipment ready, supporting patient care, and helping create a safe, comfortable environment throughout the surgical journey.

A few responsibilities of our Anesthesia Technician include:

Provides the operating room staff, surgeons, and anesthesia personnel with the necessary supplies and equipment for the surgical procedures
Ensures utilized equipment (included but not limited to: glidescope/bronchoscope/difficult intubation equipment) is appropriately cleaned, stored and in proper working order prior to use.
Submits work orders in a timely manner for needed maintenance/repairs.
Schedules preventative maintenance as required and follows up on completion.
Performs 1st level testing and maintenance on anesthesia equipment
Trouble shoots issues with anesthesia machines and other anesthesia equipment
Maintains designated par levels of anesthesia supplies and ensures carts are stocked with immediate use items used for operative procedures.
Maintains inventory/stock levels, ordering, acquiring supplies and minor instruments and equipment
Participates in evaluating new equipment/supplies that pertains to the anesthesia service

Required Job Qualifications include:

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) verification course through American Heart Assoc. and American Red Cross - Healthcare Provider CPR
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively
Medical terminology
Basic personal computer skills
Medical supply knowledge
