Student Nurse Full-time

Summary

The Student Nurse Apprentice - RN is responsible for assisting the designated nurse preceptor and additional nurses with care of all age groups within the Standard of Care set by Parkview Health and the Indiana Nurse Practice Act. The Student Nurse Apprentice - RN, under the direct supervision of the designated RN preceptor, participates in delegated patient care including vital signs, activities of daily living, assisting with treatments, assisting in basic IV care, and assisting in patient education.

Education

Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate nursing program, in the final 1-2 semesters for ASN or BSN degree. Must have completed required school nursing program courses to-date and be in good academic standing.

Licensure/Certification

Current CPR BLS certification required.

Experience

Previous experience or program of study in direct patient care is preferred (i.e. CNA, PCT, paramedic, military medic, mental health technician, home health aide).

Other Qualifications

Must have good verbal and written communication skills. Must have a working knowledge of computer skills and applications. Demonstrates ability to multi-task and work with minimal oversight. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and assist with 100 pounds.

IS Technology Non-Clinical Intern

This internship is designed for individuals interested in pursuing a career in infection prevention. Infection Preventionists (IPs) are specially trained healthcare professionals dedicated to preventing the spread of infections and promoting patient and staff safety across healthcare settings. The Infection Prevention Intern works under the direction of an Infection Preventionist and supports infection prevention and control (IPC) practices throughout the organization. Data Center Operations Non-Clinical Intern

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Center Operations Intern to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role will be the maintenance, repair, and installation of Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems across all hospitals and buildings in our network. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in power systems, specifically UPS systems, and will be dedicated to ensuring the reliability and performance of our critical infrastructure. This position requires a mix of hands-on technical skills and proactive problem-solving to ensure the smooth operation of UPS systems that support our data centers, medical equipment, and other critical operations across our healthcare network. Key Responsibilities UPS Maintenance & Monitoring: Perform routine preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and battery replacements on UPS systems across multiple facilities in our network. Ensure all UPS systems are fully operational, monitored, and maintained according to service schedules and manufacturer guidelines. Installation & Upgrades Oversee the installation of new UPS systems and upgrades to existing systems across the network. Ensure proper configuration, testing, and integration with existing infrastructure, while maintaining minimal disruption to hospital operations.
