Student Nurse Assistant

Summary The Student Nurse Assistant is responsible for assisting the designated RN Preceptor and additional RNs with care of all age groups within the Standard of Care set by Parkview Health and the Indiana Nurse Practice Act. The Student Nurse Assistant, under the direct supervision of the designated RN Preceptor, participates in delegated patient care including vital signs and activities of daily living. This individual shares the responsibility of managing resources, supplies, and equipment within the department, and provides unit-related services as specified by the department. Education Must be a minimum of 17 years of age, and interested in a career in nursing. Prefer current high school students enrolled in, or those who have completed, a health careers occupations program of study. Must not yet be accepted or enrolled in an undergraduate nursing program at a university. Licensure/Certification Current CPR BLS certification required. Experience Previous experience or program of study in direct patient care is preferred (i.e. CNA, PCT, paramedic, military medic, mental health technician, home health aide). Other Qualifications Must have good verbal and written communication skills. Must have a working knowledge of computer skills and applications. Demonstrates ability to multi-task and work with minimal oversight. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and assist with 100 pounds. Must be able to work 48 hours in a four-week schedule period. IS Technology Non-Clinical Intern

This internship focuses on supporting the management and maintenance of storage infrastructure, including both physical and virtual storage systems, to meet the organization’s data needs. The intern will assist with developing and maintaining backup and storage plans to ensure data integrity, availability, and reliable access to business-critical information. Responsibilities include assisting with software upgrades, applying system patches, supporting the physical security of stored data, and helping monitor and optimize storage architecture and performance. As part of the role, the intern will work on projects such as verifying and implementing backup software and systems to strengthen data protection and recovery processes. They will also assist with the administration, maintenance, and installation of storage systems to improve reliability and efficiency across the environment. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of SAN storage and backup systems, along with familiarity with server operating systems. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are important for identifying and resolving storage or system-related issues. The intern will typically work between 24–40 hours per week, generally Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Infection Prevention Summer Non-Clinical Intern

This internship is designed for individuals interested in pursuing a career in infection prevention. Infection Preventionists (IPs) are specially trained healthcare professionals dedicated to preventing the spread of infections and promoting patient and staff safety across healthcare settings. The Infection Prevention Intern works under the direction of an Infection Preventionist and supports infection prevention and control (IPC) practices throughout the organization. The intern collaborates closely with Infection Preventionists, Epidemiologists, and Data Coordinators, and may also partner with Safety Coordinators, Quality Specialists, Microbiology Laboratory Specialists, Environmental Services staff, and facility leaders. Key responsibilities may include assisting with the management of transmission-based precautions; supporting patient and staff education initiatives; participating in environment of care rounds and follow-up activities; contributing to process improvement efforts; conducting hospital-acquired infection surveillance; and supporting mandatory data reporting to the National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) and applicable reimbursement programs. The role requires strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal abilities, and effective problem-solving skills. Candidates must be able to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, while maintaining strict confidentiality of sensitive data and information.
