As a Farm Market Associate, you will carry out our Mission of Love by assisting in all aspects of retail sales in the Farm Market, in a variety of Orchard related tasks including, but not limited to fruit and produce preparation and assist in supervising and training Farm Market Assistants.
Our Farm Market Associate is responsible for the following:
- Demonstrating advanced knowledge pertaining to fresh produce, merchandising and retail sales methods to obtain optimum production results and sales outcomes.
- Demonstrating the ability and knowledge to maintain and record daily cash receipts. Assisting with daily, weekly, and monthly cash deposits and records.
- Exceling in the ability to meet, interact, and communicate with customers in a positive manner to facilitate daily sales and stimulate repeat business.
- Demonstrating leadership skills. Has received managerial training and assumes retail Manager on duty role when required.
- Coordinating training and supervision of all retail staff. Resolving staff grievances and maintaining good interdepartmental relationships.
- Demonstrating a total understanding of all Farm Market daily operations including product ordering and inventory, bakery, retail market and Orchard View Cafe.
- Assisting in developing, establishing, and obtaining departmental financial sales goals.
What You Have:
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Some retail sales experience preferred.
- Basic math / retail monetary skills.
- Good written, oral, organizational, and basic computer skills.
