Days/Afternoons (United States of America)Job Summary:
Oversees clinical coordination of the Outpatient Surgery department personally and through the Outpatient Surgery Charge Nurses. Relates effectively with other shifts and departments for continuity of care; participates in education, maintenance of records, and upgrading of policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred or obtain within two years of taking position
Licensure/Certification: Current RN license in the state of Kentucky; BLS certification required; ACLS preferred; Certified Nurse Operating Room(CNOR) preferred
Knowledge & Skills:
Experience and expertise required in all areas of Perioperative Nursing: Surgery, Post Anesthesia care, and Ambulatory Surgery . Computer literacy required. Strong time management, organizational and communication skills. Ability to direct peers and other OR(Operating Room) personnel; Ability to function in a high stress environment, function independently, set priorities and adapt to constant change
