Requirements:

Current RN license and good standing with the State Board of Nursing.
Current AHA BLS certification. ACLS certification may be required prior to first shift.
Minimum of 1 year experience as an inpatient Telemetry RN (most recent experience within the last year).
Strong ACLS skills, an excellent understanding of ECG interpretation, and familiarity caring for patients with common cardiac issues, including Congestive Heart Failure and Atrial Fibrillation.
Proficiency with post ACS/MI care protocols, a good understanding of key labs and medications related to cardiac rhythm, ECG administration, cardioversion, and external pacing.
Strong familiarity with titration of common cardiac drips following facility protocols.

Maintaining current knowledge of the medication’s purpose and effects for each patient, as demonstrated by correct documentation of medication, as well as observations about responses to medication. Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital (OMH) Birthing Center is a Level 1 community hospital unit with 12 LDRP’s. The unit cares for a variety of populations, including Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, GYN, Pediatrics, and transitional newborn care in our Special Care Nursery. We see approximately 900 patients annually. In additional to providing specialty services for women and children of all ages, the department also provides other services, such as, but not limited to, lactation and resolve through sharing (RTS) perinatal loss support. OMH Birthing Center has over 30 staff members working as Registered Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and Health Unit Clerks. Hours: This .9 FTE commits to 36 hours per week, schedule is three 12 hour night shifts 1900-0700. This position may float between both Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital and Waukesha Memorial Hospital locations. There is a weekend and holiday rotation. This is not a seasonal or temporary position.
