Responsibilities PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Regularly performs the duties and responsibilities of the Registered Nurse for patients of all age groups. When serving as Preceptor Nurse, serves as a role model and resource to the nursing staff. Also works with the manager and Nurse Clinician to ensure a well-planned and implemented orientation and training program for new employees. Identifies and recommends training needs of staff, and participates in developing new training programs. When serving as Charge Nurse, coordinates daily activities and distribution of work in specific area assigned. Responsibilities PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES May perform the duties and responsibilities of the Staff Registered Nurse for a specific patient population. Makes daily staff work assignments based on patient acuity and clinical competence of staff. May recommend staffing requirements for the next shift. Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
