This position is for a Clinical Nurse Coordinator RN working in the Evergreen Health Fred Hutch Clinic providing direct and indirect patient care, including telephone triage, symptom management, patiend education, and care coordination. The resident nurse will work closely with a trained preceptor and master skills necessary to provide safe and accurate patient care which include, but not limited to, assessment, treatment administration and evaluation of patient response to treatment. Primary focus during the residency program is to learn about the nursing care of oncology, immunotherapy and bone marrow transplant patients. Training will encompass the understanding of the various oncology diagnosis and treatments plan/protocols, competency in chemotherapy, blood products and other prescribed supportive treatments administration, and evaluation of patient's response to treatment. In addition, in depth understanding of patient and family psych-social needs and the various stages of grief and death and dying will be provided. During the first 2 weeks of centralized onboarding, all RN residents will work Monday–Friday, 8am–4:30pm. During the unit orientation, residents are paired with preceptors and will be assigned shifts to mirror their designated preceptors’ schedules. Shifts at this clinic are Monday - Friday, 4x10 hour shifts with variable start time of 7am or 7:30am. This position will be located at the Evergreen Clinic in Kirkland, WA.
