Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current certification as a Nursing Assistant in the state of Florida
  • Basic life support (BLS) certification.

  • Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
  • Help patients with mobility and physical activities, including transferring and positioning.

SUMMARY: Perform activities of daily living for the residents assigned under the direction and supervision of a Nurse. Is responsible for assisting nursing in providing resident care. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide personal care to residents, including bathing (bed, shower, tub, whirlpool) shampooing, combing hair, oral care, personal hygiene, shaving, nail care, and dressing. Ensure call bell is positioned within residents’ reach. Keep incontinent residents clean and dry. Distribute, empty, and clean bedpans and urinals and assist residents to and from bathroom or with bedside commode. Empty catheter bags as needed. Ambulate residents, assist residents in and out of chairs and wheelchairs, position bedridden residents according to plan of care, and utilize appropriate support devices. Make rounds and reposition residents. Prepare residents for meals and assist with meal service – transport residents to and from dining room, serve trays, assist with feeding when necessary, remove trays, and accurately document residents’ intake immediately after consumption. Serve nourishments and betweenmealsnacks to residents as ordered and distribute ice and water, rotating water pitchers and deliver pitchers to the Dietary Department for sanitation. The Opportunity The Certified Caregiver - CNA position is part of the Health & Wellness Team responsible for providing care to the residents. This position requires a combination of stamina, empathy, and compassion to effectively support the needs of residents. What You’ll Do Accurately perform and record vital signs, height and weight. Accurately calculate and record weight gain/loss and fluid intake/output. Maintain a clean and safe resident environment. Recognize abnormal changes in body functioning and the importance of reporting such changes to a supervisor. Perform palliative and post-mortem care.
