About the Role: CNA

As a CNA, you’ll play a key role in supporting the health, happiness, and daily experience of the residents at Wesley on Grand in Des Moines.

As a CNA, you will:

Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Provide emotional support and companionship, fostering a positive and engaging environment.
Facilitate resident participation in recreational and therapeutic activities.
Ensure a clean and safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care.

Communicates resident's changing condition and care related concerns/responses to the charge nurse. Collects non-invasive body fluid specimens and gathers vital signs. Provides housekeeping and laundry services to assist residents with keeping living areas clean and operational. May participate in departmental/organization committees and task forces as needed. Qualifications High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
